What Changed
Order responses now includemerchantNotificationSent events in the events timeline. Each event records the delivery state of the new-order email sent to the merchant: pending while the send is in flight, then sent (with the recipient and provider message id), failed, or skipped.
Migration
Requests pinned to2026-08-05 or earlier never receive merchantNotificationSent events — they are filtered out of the timeline, so no action is required until you upgrade. When you move to 2026-08-07, handle the new event kind (or ignore event kinds you don’t recognize, which keeps you forward-compatible with future timeline events).
